Charitable Partner Spotlight: Infinite Love for Kids Fighting Cancer

Updated: May 21

We are proud to support a variety of non-profit organizations as part of our mission to impact the community while reducing our carbon footprint.

Every estate clean-out, downsize and even a large portion of organizational services results in items that are donated to families in the community who directly benefit from all that Shore Simplicity has to offer.

Each quarter, we will introduce you to each of our charitable partners and connect you with ways to impact the community while downsizing or decluttering your home.

This month, we are proud to feature Infinite Love for Kids Fighting Cancer as our esteemed Charitable Partner Spotlight.

Infinite Love for Kids Fighting Cancer is a volunteer-run foundation that focuses on providing financial grants to our country’s leading research hospitals and facilities. With over a dozen various forms of childhood cancer (and hundreds of subtypes), Infinite Love focuses their fundraising efforts on a different form of childhood cancer every year since no two pediatric cancers are the same.  Since fundraising efforts began in the spring of 2013, Infinite Love has already fulfilled over 2.3 MILLION dollars in research grants!

In addition to research, over the years Infinite Love has also been able to help the very families affected by childhood cancer.  When a new family is introduced to the foundation, they do everything in their power to help the family throughout their child's entire fight, no matter how long it takes.  From paying bills to creating a dream treehouse, to sending a super sibling and his friends to a VIP sports event, or even just to support parents emotionally, Infinite Love goes above and beyond to help these families. Their motto is to strive to #MakeItAmazing every day in the best way that they can, and to comfort childhood cancer families, letting them know that no one fights alone! Simply put, it’s all in their name.

The Woman who Started it all

Andrea Verdone Gorsegner is the founder and truly the kindest soul who is behind the organization Infinite Love. Not only has this non-profit proven to make waves in the pediatric cancer research community, there is one thing that makes them stand out among other foundations–Andrea is the contact person for it all.

Whether it’s three in the morning, or around dinner time, Andrea is a phone call away for families who need a listening ear or some love and support. Andrea’s motto is “once a family with Infinite Love, always a family.” For families celebrating milestones in their children’s survival, Andrea is there. For those who have lost loved ones, even years later, Andrea is personally making phone calls to families to check in.  Though she is humble by nature, we are proud of her every day, and love to share that she regularly gifts mothers and fathers celebrating anniversaries of heartbreak. There is nothing more meaningful than knowing someone is on your side because the fight against childhood cancer is not one that any family fights alone.

How To Get Involved

The true financial safety net and network for support for Infinite Love are their monthly donors. Whether it’s $25/month or more, those donations truly add up and are what kept Infinite Love going during COVID, allowing them to continue to support their families.  That value continues to provide great impact today.  The generous people who are monthly donors are the ones who keep the gears oiled! If you are interested in supporting Infinite Love and are not sure where to start, look no further! Become a monthly donor today.

Our Relationship with Infinite Love

Each year, it is our honor and pleasure to work with the families of Infinite Love to make their lives just a little bit easier.

We are proud to offer a free organization service to two families a year who are helping their children fight pediatric cancer.

As we know, the home should be a place of solace and peace, and that can be quite difficult when the day-to-day challenges of cancer treatment for a child are at the top of the priority list. By providing a clean space, we offer families one less thing they have to worry about after a long day of daycare, treatment, laundry, and more.

Our time and services are valuable, but the peace of mind for families to come home to a serene space outweighs the cost of organizing a home for a deserving family.

If you’d like to nominate a family deserving of our services, please reach out through our inquiry page here.
